Forum 2000 in Prague
Andreas attended the 29th Forum 2000 democracy conference in Prague and a meeting of the Coalition for Democratic Renewal. He supports the call for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi.
United Nations Charter Reform
Andreas for over 20 years has been an advocate for UN Charter reform. He strongly welcomes the launch of the Article 109 coalition in New York in September 2025.
Civil society at the UN
As the 80th UN General Assembly begins, Andreas told IPS News: the UN “really needs to seek stronger engagement with civil society, citizens, and the public at large, not less.”
